RU Researching: A Discussion Focusing on Research Zora Neale Hurston states, “Research is formalized curiosity. It is poking and prying with a purpose.” The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences is hosting a discussion that will address the need for students to pursue research during and beyond their academic careers. The discussion will feature presentations from professors and students in the Rutgers community. The presentations will address the professor’s experiences about making their way into a research career.  The presentations will be complimented with a poster presentation session. The poster presentation will consist of students in the Rutgers community, both past and present that have conducted extensive research as a part of their academic journey. Students that are interested in research, or would like to learn more about the endless possibilities of research are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be provided during the discussion. The event will take place Friday, February 6, 2015 at 1PM, in the Cook Student Center MPR A&B.
