(Residential Program for EOF Students Only)

This 10-week intensive residential program offers students extended exposure to General Chemistry 161/165. Funded by the NJ Educational Opportunity Fund with additional support from the Dean of Academic Programs at the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS), the Solid GEMS Chemistry summer program requires students to commit to intensive daily study of Chemistry and chemical concepts throughout the 10-week program. Upon completion of the program, students will earn 4-degree credits for General Chemistry 161/165.

Students interested in participating in the summer program must submit an application prior to leaving campus for spring break. Applications are available through this website or in the Rutgers SEBS EOF Office.

Summer Program Dates

The Solid GEMS Chemistry Summer Program begins immediately after Memorial Day and ends on the first Monday in August.
